The modern market of football boots; an expensive, glamorous, but yet glorius display of modern technology. Technology, in the right hands, can greatly improve lives; but in the wrong hands, can decieve and take advantage. Every kid' today, wants that super flash boot, worn by Ronaldo, Rooney & Beckham; big companies see this as an oppurtunity to bleed the parents of the nation dry, by signing these players up for big money, and selling on the replica boots for even more big money. But of course, the kids still pay, because they want to play like those players. I live by the logic that the only thing you should judge a boot on is grip, comfort and durablilty; the magics inside the boot, not the boot itself. I did think that, until i tried Concave...
People believe whatever the companies tell them when it comes to football boots, just stick a fancy name on the front, add a little science and bingo; you've got a new design. But when you do that process backwards, the results are much different, when you find an idea that the iconic football boot can be improved; you use science first, to design the boot. The answer - a revolution, Concave, with 8 years of designing and testing, there are no flaws. Upon first hearing of this 'revolutionary' new boot on the market, i couldn't wait to endulge in a humerous session of laughing off the new names of technologies. The idea that a boot could improve performance, that was nonsense in my book.
Everything changed however, when i was lucky enough to recieve a pair from the lovely people at Concave; i do get overly excited at a pair of football boots, inhumainly so. They arrived, and i must admit, i must have beaten the world record for opening a plastic bag, i pulled them out there complimentary bag, and they seemed to glow with an almost holy light. The aesthetics are flabergasting, they look amazing! The colour scheme, the new sweet spot, even the sole of the boot, it's just so beautiful! I tried them on, and the comfort blows you away, they feel robust, sturdy and protective - unheard of in this day and age. You can kiss foot injurys away when your wearing these bad boys, you wouldn't even break a nail in them!
Aesthetics and comfort aside, they really perform were they belong - the football pitch. You seriously wouldn't think that a boot would make so much difference, and you probably still won't after reading this, that's why im urging you to try these out, you shall not be disappointed! The first thing you notice when wearing these, is touch; the robustness of the boot, along with the new sweet spot, give a large, clean surface to trap the ball, planting it right next to your foot. The new sole plates are great too, offering precisely the right amount of grip across the floor, without being heavy and obstructive.
